Preventative Healthcare

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." We recommend an annual health examination, and vaccinations for all pets. Dogs, we suggest annual heartworm testing and prevention. Puppies, kittens and newly acquired pets should be screened for intestinal parasites. New cats and kittens should be tested for feline leukemia. We strongly recommend spaying and neutering for non-breeding pets. Aging pets need special care: we offer a geriatric program that includes regular physical exams and blood analysis, regular teeth cleaning, and weight and nutritional counseling.
